Last week I was interviewed by Downtown Los Angeles News about the relationship between sneakers and dance/music culture. The interview was short since the main focus of the article was to highlight an L.A. based sneaker brand, Vlado. They ended up using only a small part of what I had to say, but it got me thinking: I really need to work on my vocabulary and interviewing skills. Did I really say “rapper after rapper” and use “cool” twice? Damn.
I’m personally not very familiar with the brand and can’t really say its my style. But of course, I’m also no dancer. At least, not in the traditional sense. Nevertheless, I gotta show love for local brands. Check out the article here.
